About Event
Street plays are a movement for reaching out to all young and old.
Roll up your sleeves to come together, perform and send out a message.
Don’t just entertain. Educate.
Structure:
Teams can perform on social topic(s) of their choice.
Team size: 8 to 20 (Including all music accompanists)
Language: Marathi, Hindi or English
Time Duration:
Setup time: 2 min
Performance time: 12 to 14 min
(If setup done early, can be added to performance time)
Rules:
List of all team members should be provided to the event head during registration.
Music accompanists are included in the team number stated above.
Performance should be confined within the Nukkad area
(8 meters in diameter), i.e. an open air venue, with audience on all sides.
Costumes, props, instruments and the scripts are subject to verification.
In case they fail to adhere to the rules, participants will be asked to change them.
No electrical appliances shall be allowed during the
performance whether inside or outside the circle of performance.
Only live music is allowed.
Teams will have to bring their own instruments.
No instruments will be provided.
Any kind of fluids, live animals, flame, heavy objects or
any other material which has a possibility of damaging
the area is strictly not allowed.
Any kind of plagiarism & profanity will lead to immediate disqualification.
Any sort of vulgarity, obscenity, profanity in terms of the
overall performance can lead to disqualification.
Any prop/material used during the performance by the
participants that litter the performance area is not encouraged.
In case of such circumstances, participants are expected to clean it.
